Facts Regarding Weight Loss







Weight loss can be dreadful for a few of us. There are a few important facts regarding being overweight and weight loss. In this article, I'm giving you an account of a few facts that you really need to know.
  1. You are overweight not because you are intended to be. But you are overweight because you either eat too much, or you eat high-calorie diets, or maybe because you eat at the wrong intervals.
  2. Jumping from a high-calorie diet to a low-calorie diet will not make you slim. Why? I tell you. Our body has a system by which it determines the relationship between diet and energy production. Yes of course you know it too. It's called Metabolism. Now the problem with the metabolism is that if you eat 3500 calories per day, it burns consequently and produces energy according to the high-calorie diet. But if you jump from 3500 calories to 1500 calories per day, your metabolism adjusts to it, hence becoming slow, trying to preserve the energy for your body. There are methods to boost your metabolism, which I'll tell you about later.
  3. It is not practically possible for everyone to become pencil thin or get an hourglass figure. Why not??? Because everyone has his/her own body structure. We generally divide the bodies into three categories; small body frames, medium body frames, and large body frames. This is dependent upon the bone structure and can be checked by various measurements of the joints.
  4. There are few medical conditions that cause hindrance in weight loss. They can be food allergies, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances, stress, and lack of necessary nutrients.
  5. During the water, soup, and juice diets, there is always a little weight gain initially. This is due to water retention which is a normal physiological phenomenon.
  6. Apart from diet control, to lose weight it is necessary to burn calories in access. Therefore you'll need to take a controlled diet along with physical activities like running, jogging, dancing, aerobics, exercises, and weight training, etc.
  7. Starvation is not the right way to lose weight. It will eventually make you look slim. But you are losing all that necessary things along that fat as well. Your bones and muscles will become weaker because you are losing proteins and calcium out of your body as well.
  8. During diet control, regular intake of dairy products is very important. Latest fitness research has shown that people who take yogurt thrice a day, lose 37% more fat on the belly than people who don't.
  9. It is not necessary that you start losing weight with every type of diet you try. Similarly, it is not the case with the burning of calories. You might not lose fast enough with jogging as you do it with dancing. Therefore always do keep the trial period of your all diet and exercise plans. This should be of at least a proper week. No need to change the plan every other day. At least give it some time to show its effects.
  10. During your diet plans do keep one day off a week. This will make you stick to the diet for a longer duration. It depletes your urge for your favorite food. But make it very clear that the day you are taking off from your diet is not your holiday. Don't plan it on Sundays. Why? Simple. Because you'll tend to eat more than you should. The whole day you'll keep on eating and eating and eating.
  11. Weight-reducing pills and nutritional supplements do help you a lot. But it's not a natural method. It has two basic drawbacks; either you can develop any medical problem due to one or more ingredients or you can have your relapse faster than anything. It is very necessary to lose weight once and then prevents you from gaining it back. The problem with the supplements is that they don't change your diet patterns, or your physical activities, so as soon as you leave them you gain that weight back. Which of course no one of us wants to have.
  12. The low carb, low fat and low calorie doesn't mean that they don't have calories or fats in them at all. So when going for such food make sure that you take it in a balanced and controlled way. If you are eating low calorie or low-fat diet, it is not that you can eat as much as you can, and you won't get fat.

These are the few important facts you should not ignore at all at any phase of your life whether you are fat or not!!!!!
